We Need To Do Away With Our Culture In Africa Where We Spend Millions On Burying The Dead — Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri recounted how one of the wealthiest men in the world, King Abdullah a Saudi Arabian after his death in January2015, was buried wrapped in only a white cloth in a place where other poor people were buried.

He pointed to the fact that Muslim believe we are all equal at birth and at death and it is a way to honour God and their principle is spend money on the living and improving the lives of the living. Reno cited references in the Bible were distinct figures such as Moses, King David and others were buried in the simplest way.

The former presidential aide pointed to the fact that culture is dynamic and not static hence we need to evolve from certain cultures and his comments comes after viral video of guests spraying millions of naira at Obi Cubana’s mom’s burial.

I agree with you my brother, but you see that party we just witness at Oba is actually a ritualist yearly gathering and not burial, so many people have eaten their destiny away. You no dey watch igbo film naa Dem go kill the person wey die and will do elaborate burial to complete the act.
