The Theatre Arts and Motion Picture Practitioners’ Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has summoned Yuroba actor Yomi Fabiyi over his controversial movie titled “Oko Iyabo”.
Social media users have called out Yuroba actor Yomi Fabiyi over his new movie premiered today titled, “Oko Iyabo”. The movie has caused a lot of reactions on social media with netizens attacking the actor over the concept of the movie.

The movie produced and premiered by Yomi Fabiyi has the storyline of Baba Ijesha’s rape case with the daughter of actress Princess. The movie made use of the names of the victims involved in the rape case. However, Yomi made it look like the minor involved was having an affair with the actor.
Following the outburst on social media by netizens, TAMPAN has summoned actor Yomi Fabiyi over his movie. In a statement released, it states that Yomi’s movie has caused a lot of controversies which has gone against the ethics and virtue of the association.
“The invitation becomes necessary because of the controversy that the subject matter of his film has generated which is against our ethics and virtue. Despite that, we realized that the film has sparked off another round of dissension between TAMPAN and the public; this is unacceptable to us and unsuitable to what we represent”, a part of the statement read.
